    Maria Batey (Fowler) - Founder & Director

    Maria Batey is the founder of Bloom Reformer Studio and a passionate advocate for women’s wellness, confidence, and self-connection. As a mum of two young daughters, she knows the emotional and physical toll that comes with constantly putting others first. Her own journey, from feeling disconnected in motherhood to rediscovering her strength through movement inspired the creation of Bloom.

    With a background in body confidence coaching, content creation, and women’s empowerment, Maria has built a strong voice around helping women reclaim their sense of self. Her experience working with women of all shapes, stages, and stories shines through in the inclusive and uplifting atmosphere at Bloom.

    Maria is a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor, and she brings her signature blend of encouragement, honesty, and real-life perspective to every class. Bloom is more than a studio -it’s a space shaped by Maria’s belief that every woman deserves to feel strong, supported, and at home in her body.

    Megan Abbott - Operations & Reformer Instructor

    Megan is a valued part of the Bloom family, bringing warmth, dedication, and a deep understanding of what our community needs. While she’s a newer face in the world of Reformer Pilates instruction, she’s been a committed class member for years- giving her a natural, relatable teaching style that resonates with every client.

    Outside of the studio space, Megan plays an essential role behind the scenes, managing key aspects of Bloom’s accounts and operations. Her organisational skills and attention to detail keep everything running smoothly, helping us deliver the high-quality experience our members know and love.

    With Megan, you get more than just an instructor -you get someone who lives and breathes Bloom, both in and out of the studio.

    Jane Bass - Reformer Instructor

    With nearly 25 years in the fitness industry, Jane brings energy, experience, and a whole lot of heart to every class she teaches. A Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer and Yoga instructor, Jane spent 20 years at David Lloyd, where she wore many hats- Membership Manager, Sales Consultant, Group Fitness Instructor, and Personal Trainer. She’s taught everything from Body Attack to Zumba, Senior Circuits to Clubbercise - and everything in between.

    Jane’s passion for movement is infectious. In fact, ten years ago, it was through Jane’s classes that our founder, Maria, discovered (and fell in love with) group exercise making Jane the perfect fit for the Bloom family.

    Her classes are fun, social, and empowering, bringing women together in a space where laughter is just as important as strength. Whether you’re a beginner or a regular mover, Jane has a way of making you feel seen, supported, and confident in your own body.

    Based in Mickleover, Jane juggles life as a wife to David, mum to two grown boys, a step son and Alfie the dog and also co-owner of Bass Removals.

    Expect real talk, good music, and a class that leaves you feeling stronger inside and out.

    Rachael Needham - Reformer Instructor

    Susan Booth

    With 29 years of experience, Susan specialises in helping women move freely and comfortably with a particular focus on the challenges of the aging body- including knee, hip, and shoulder issues.

    Susan delivers fun, dynamic, and fully accessible classes, drawing from her extensive background in teaching aerobics during the '90s. she also brings a positive, energetic approach to every session, helping clients strengthen their bodies while enjoying the process.

    Outside of teaching, Susan is married with two grown-up children, is a fair-weather cyclist, and enjoys walking her dog, Inca.

    Hannah Weston

    Hannah began her career in the fitness industry in 2011. She is a certified personal trainer and a specialist in pre and postnatal fitness, she understands the unique needs of each body and how to safely and effectively guide clients through their fitness journey. Hannah is a proud mother of two young children, which has deepened her appreciation for how movement supports both physical and mental health through every stage of life. Hannah has been a certified Reformer Pilates teacher since August 2023 and is now fast approaching a major milestone of teaching 1,000 classes! Hannah’s  sessions focus on building strength, improving mobility, and leaving you feeling empowered in your body.

    Danni Kemp

    Danni is a certified Reformer and Mat Pilates instructor with a deep passion for movement, alignment, and mindful strength. After years of dedicated Pilates practice and experiencing its profound impact- physically, mentally, and emotionally, she made the exciting decision to turn her passion into a profession.

    Although newly qualified as an instructor this year, Danni brings a rich personal journey to her teaching. Her firsthand experience as a long-time student of Pilates gives her a unique perspective, allowing her to truly understand what it feels like to be a beginner, to grow stronger over time, and to reconnect with the body in a way that feels both empowering and sustainable.

    Her classes are rooted in precision, control, and breath, thoughtfully designed to help students build strength, increase flexibility, and move with greater ease and confidence. Whether someone is new to Pilates or seeking to deepen their practice, Danni offers guidance with encouragement, energy, and a deep respect for the unique needs of every body.

    She invites others to move, grow, and feel good, together.

    Emma Goodwin

    Emma is a qualified yoga and Pilates teacher who loves to move through life with curiosity and strength.

    Emma has such a bubbly infectious personality and adores working alongside people, to help them feel confident, empowered and fully present, in both body and mind. She has travelled around the globe, worked with a wide variety of ages and abilities, and greatly enjoys meeting and connecting with new people. Emma looks forward to meeting our Bloom community and bringing her warm, professional, yet fun energy into the studios.

    Lauren Hawtree-Mather

    Lauren first discovered Reformer Pilates in 2019 at a studio in London—and it was love at first class. Instantly drawn to the way Pilates challenges both the body and the mind, she found it to be the most rewarding form of movement she’d ever experienced. This newfound passion inspired her to pursue professional training and share the transformative power of Pilates with others.

    She completed her Reformer Pilates certification through the respected Reformer Fitness Academy in London. During her training, Lauren developed a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of the method, enabling her to design classes that are effective, energizing, and accessible to all levels. Her teaching style focuses on progression and confidence-building, with fresh routines that keep every session dynamic and engaging.

    Lottie Martin
